We are looking for a highly Technical Senior Product Manager to join a small and growing social media platform!

This is their 1st Product Management hire with the role reporting directly to the CEO. They have doubled their headcount to 24 in the last 12 months and are already at $20M in revenue. Their social media management technology simplifies social marketing and they have one of the leading tools in the market.

This role would suit someone who predominantly enjoys working end-to-end in the Product Management lifecycle and can work closely with the CEO and VP of Engineering on product strategy and prioritization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and user experience, great with data (both qualitative and quantitative), and loves turning insights into action. This person is a skilled prioritizer who can weigh up technical and business tradeoffs and can constantly prioritize and build what will drive the most important outcomes.

Day to day you’ll be:

  • Executing product vision and strategy.
  • Instilling initial product management processes from discovery through delivery.
  • Work with design and engineering teams to design product solutions, finalize plans, prioritize solutions in the roadmap, resolve issues during build and test phases, and launch products in a timely fashion.
  • Write product specifications and work with the UX designer to build mock-ups and with engineering to determine feasibility.
  • Work with engineering and quality assurance to build and ship the features.
  • Communicate and resolve issues, risks, and progress to all the stakeholders.
  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into the product development process.
  • Engage with the social media manager, planner, and publisher community to understand their needs and challenges, translating insights into product features that enhance their social media marketing experience.
  • Conducting market research and user feedback analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvements.
  • Defining and analyzing key performance metrics to measure progress on the company’s wider business objectives. Use data, experiments, and intuition to inform your decisions for future improvements.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to maintain the company’s leadership position in social media management technology.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 4 years of product management experience delivering highly successful products in a tech company.
  • Technical understanding must go from the highest abstraction to the most detailed level to facilitate a high-performing software development cycle.
  • Experience shipping user-facing self-service products and solutions.
  • Ability to understand complex, technical topics and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, engineering practices, and the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong cross-functional experience working with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Customer Success, and more.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make product decisions.
  • Adept at translating technical ideas into delightful SaaS features, products, and improvements. Outstanding verbal and written communication.

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience or background in software engineering.
  • Experience working with customers in related industries where a tool like what this company offers is essential (social media, marketing technology, small to medium businesses, productivity tools, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of the social media landscape, including emerging trends, evolving customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

They are a fully remote team across the USA. They have a preference for candidates across MT, CT, and ET.

The salary for this role is circa $180k – $220k + 5% bonus
